Welcome to the Year of the Tiger, beginning 4 Feb. As usual, I recommend installing cures at this time, according to Flying Stars Feng Shui. If we take these precautions, we can avoid being affected by some of the tricky energy patterns presenting this year.
Beginning with the nuisance 5 star, a set of metal chimes will be needed in the SW of your building this year. Because the South West is associated with earth energy, additional round, metal objects, white or metal colours and the avoidance of red colour and fire objects, is very important this year. It is also where 'Sui Po' is located, so avoid renovations or similar disturbance.
Next to cure is the 2 star, to avoid health problems. In the NE we place six metal coins, traditionally tied with red ribbon. This sector coincides with the 'Grand Duke', so again avoid disturbing with digging the land and be sure to sit with your back to the NE. And similarly to the SW, the NE is earth energy, so you need to avoid significant red colour and add extra metal such as a singing bowl this year. If this is where your bedroom is, a ’wu lou ’ or metal gourd is a powerful cure. If you can’t avoid disturbance, it will help to place a Pi Yao in the SW facing NE. Also a gold money frog will not go astray this year for finances.
It is always recommended to cure the 3 star with some small red object, especially if you have an entrance in the south. This can help to avoid robbery and arguments.
The 4 star is worth a mention because of its location in the north in 2010. It governs romance, creative, academic and artistic talents, promising some lovely developments. But with the ‘Three Killings’ here, it is wise not to disturb the north with any construction work this year.
If you have a door in the SE, ensure you have a bagua facing outwards for protection and the colour blue for harmony.
The 8 star is the most auspicious, but it is trapped in the centre this year. Try adding an Austrian crystal and some semi-precious gemstones, with some red colour to activate the sector more.
Lastly, if you were born in the Year of the Monkey, Tiger or Snake, wear a Pig talisman to help deal with challenges. Check out this cute little pig key ring!
This is a short summary, so please don’t hesitate to call or email if it is not clear what to do. In particular, if you feel something is not right, we can look at the interaction with your home or office chart and the annual chart at the same time. Viewing both together also allows for more focus on what is positive, rather than simply prevention.
